Toitū te herenga tāngata, toitū te ahurea Māori.

Uplifting Māori culture together.

The New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute (NZMACI) is a cultural centre of excellence dedicated to encouraging, fostering and promoting Māori arts, crafts and culture.

With origins dating back to 1926, we have nurtured the revitalisation of toi Māori – including whakairo rākau (wood carving), whakairo pounamu, pōhatu me te parāoa (stone and bone carving), raranga (weaving), and other practices – ensuring these taonga are passed down through generations.

Now, with the launch of The NZMACI Foundation, we invite individuals, organisations, and partners to join us in this vital kaupapa.
